This channel is hilarious! I love the guy's 'concerned' tone of voice because it's absolutely dead-on. All these New Age YouTube gurus talk exactly the same way.

I actually use coconut oil for some cooking purposes but I have enough insight to understand that my satisfaction is basically because it's a less tasty and worse performing version of Crisco.

I don't think that I have ever used coconut oil in anything. The closest that I come is when I use coconut milk when making curry paste.

I use Coconut Oil when I make Paleo Pumpkin Pancakes (which I haven't made since we started the RP challenge 6 weeks ago).

I use it where I don't want an olive oil taste and because it contains MCTs but it's not useful for everything. I wouldn't use it in any application that involves high heat like stir-fries. I'd never use it in a salad dressing (yuck!). I don't like it in pie crusts or pastries or tamales.

I use very little oils or fats at all, other than I suppose salad dressings, which I don't make when I can pick up something tasty for a buck at the grocery. For cooking, I typically just use olive oil, sometimes just a little generic vegetable oil, or sometimes just a pat of butter, with the notable exception that I'll use my bacon/sausage grease for cooking eggs. My grandmother had the ubiquitous tub of Crisco that she used for everything, but I've never seen the need for it, mainly because I don't bake bread, I guess.
