    Hilarious.

Huge levies that increase the cost of goods from China are somehow horrible, a death knell to the United States economy. But vastly larger levies that greatly increase the cost of goods (and mostly services) from the United States in the form of doubling and tripling the minimum wage are somehow wonderful, even though the former actually improves wages in the United States and the latter actually eliminates jobs in the United States.
Leftists have unquestionably demonstrated their hatred for due process, and Democrats have undeniably obstructed justice for, and thoroughly victim-shamed and smeared, Karen Monahan.

You probably missed that because it's a direct quote and not twisted and distorted. "[T]ariff money collected from China" is not a metaphor. It's a lie.
It wasn't the point of my posting that column, but you're right the wording is wrong. It likely should be:

Retaliatory Chinese tariffs on U.S. agricultural goods are hurting farmers, badly. Trump has allocated $12 billion to ease the economic pain of lost sales and may soon proffer more, using tariff money collected on Chinese imports.

The erroneous wording is entirely incidental to the thrust of the essay, and "lie" is a truly overwrought word to apply to an editor's mark. Your reply is true, as I've already said:
Tariffs are not collected from China. Tariffs are collected from importers and paid by their customers.
Just for good measure, China is looking to pay a steep price in this set-to, one I don't think they're in a position to handle.

But they have three advantages at the moment.

First, they don't have to care about the fate of their people.
Second, they don't have screaming toddlers in their back seat. They just shoot them.
Third, there seems to be (per the article) a concerted effort to coordinate resistance to US policy by several of our enemies, including NK and Iran, which magnifies their effect.

No. Itís not. There are no accounts filling with yuans used to pay tariffs. There are only dollars paid by importers of record.

Trump lies. You cannot make his lies reality. No matter how hard you try. You can only make them delusions.
Your right of course. The Chinese are not losing money. For the life of me, if this isn't costing them anything, I simply cannot figure out why they want the tariffs dropped?

    Lol.

That's great. It's almost back to where it was last September.

Almost at 27,000 with Wednesday's record close of 26,966. It was 19,732 on January 19, 2017. Now up 36.5% or so.
