Illinois Woman Say, Hold My Beer....

Here's the link, as I saw it on Drudge,

Mom Charged After Driving With Kids Inside Inflatable Pool On Roof

and here's the nutshell: She drove to a neighbor's house with her two daughters (one under 8, one under 16) to inflate the pool. Then she had the two girls sit in the pool on the roof of the car as she drove home, to hold it down, of course.

Apparently everyone's OK, older and wiser maybe, though that's hoping for a lot.

    • "We hold these truths to be self evident. All men and women created by the, you know, you know, the thing." —Joe Biden, explaining the Creator.
    • "The way I see it, there's always, c'mon, there's always money. It's there." —Elizabeth Warren, explaining socialism.
    • “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.... We really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.” —Saikat Chakrabarti, then AOC's Chief of Staff.

To some extent, I think the wild hysteria over child safety is a bit overblown but even my folks would have not dumped us in an inflatable pool on a car roof (although we all would have been up for it).

I sort of understand her reasoning (bad as it is) but wouldn't it have been easier to just use some bungee cords?

It really depends of the route she took. Was she creeping to a lot on the other side of a trailer park? I'd give her a pass.

Was she on the interstate, maybe going 40 with flashers on?

    Twine?

They say it's hard to out-think a fool. It would not have occurred to me to transport an inflated kid pool in the first place.

According to the article "Yeager was arrested and charged with two counts of Endangering the Health or Life of a Child and two counts of Reckless Conduct. "
