Vaccines - R - Us
Joyce got her first Moderna dose yesterday, I got my first today. We volunteered at a vaccine center for four hours today. Old folks are tickled to get their shot.
If it pays, it stays

Here in southwest Florida vaccinations are going apace, but the system is jammed by the demand. A big part of the problem is that people are driving in from out of state to get vaccinations here. I'm hearing it anecdotally and on the local news. People from NY and NJ particularly highlighted.
The thing is, they need to stay here for a month to get the second shot. (Does that apply for the Moderna vaccine?) I'm worried that with a month's exposure to Florida, a lot of these carpetbaggers will stay.
Edit: I think an out-of-state car with a Biden sticker on it is a towable offense. Or better, towed and junked, at owner expense. It's a win-win: the carpetbaggers will get an education, and Floridians will have cleaner streets, fit again for the womenfolk and children.
As for Floridians with Biden stickers, I'd Baker Act them.

- "An iron curtain has descended across the continent." Winston Churchill, March 5, 1946.
- "Are you going to be responsible for the rioting if we hear this case?" Chief Justice Roberts, who apparently had a secret codicil to his oath of office.
- "Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate." Texas State House Rep. Terry Meza, proposing to bar "castle defense" protection for victims of home invasions.
- "The way I see it, there's always, c'mon, there's always money. It's there." Elizabeth Warren, explaining socialism.
- The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasnt originally a climate thing at all.... We really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing. Saikat Chakrabarti, then AOC's Chief of Staff.
- "We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them." CNN's Don Lemon, showing how to stop demonizing people.

Second dose 28 days after the first. Joyce scheduled 2/2 me 2/3.
Just like the AFA rollout the computer sign up system is the impediment up here. The system does not work well so at the injection site we volunteered at we just told people to spread the word to their 65 and older friends to get their ass in here. That works like a charm.

If we did that in CA, we'd have to 5150 the whole coast, plus some. That would leave me alone in the office, but no matter, as there would be no judges to hear cases. Hmmmm...if my paycheck kept coming, I might even get caught up!

You are a toad."
And after I had thought of it,
I said: "I will, then, be a toad." - Stephen Crane
