Rush Limbaugh, conservative talk radio pioneer, dead at 70
Limbaugh's death, following Stage IV lung cancer diagnosis, announced by family
Rush Limbaugh, the monumentally influential media icon who transformed talk radio and politics in his decades behind the microphone, helping shape the modern-day Republican Party, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer, his family announced.
Limbaugh's wife, Kathryn, made the announcement on his radio show.
The radio icon learned he had Stage IV lung cancer in January 2020 and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Trump at the State of the Union address days later. First lady Melania Trump then presented America’s highest civilian honor to Limbaugh in an emotional moment on the heels of his devastating cancer diagnosis.
Leftists have unquestionably demonstrated their hatred for due process, and Democrats have undeniably obstructed justice for, and thoroughly victim-shamed and smeared, Karen Monahan.

Some, indeed.
His voice will be deeply missed.
- "An iron curtain has descended across the continent." — Winston Churchill, March 5, 1946. But that was then, and somewhere else.
- "Are you going to be responsible for the rioting if we hear this case?" — Chief Justice Roberts, who apparently had a secret codicil to his oath of office.
- "Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate." — Texas State House Rep. Terry Meza, proposing to bar "castle defense" protection for victims of home invasions.
- "The way I see it, there's always, c'mon, there's always money. It's there." — Elizabeth Warren, explaining socialism.
- “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.... We really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.” — Saikat Chakrabarti, then AOC's Chief of Staff.
- "We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them." — CNN's Don Lemon, showing how to stop demonizing people.

I don't think the world is a more truthful place just because this guy died. There will be plenty of lies and liars that will rush (pun unintended) in to fill that void. Like him or don't, he gave more to charitable causes than either of us would ever be able to do. Like him or don't, SOMEONE was going to be the counterpoint to what was perceived to be a vast dearth of non-leftist media. Like him or don't, he was chums with all sorts of people who did not agree with him politically. Like him or don't he was the lightning rod for hatred from those on the other side of the political spectrum.
I'm not mourning the guy, but I don't like political differences to rise to a level where people can't disagree without being disagreeable and I don't think you'd take me dancing on RBG's grave without some comment.
Hate for a person should die with that person. R.I.P. Rush. If you liked him, remember him. If you hated him, let him go.

Pretty young guy to be such a radio powerhouse. Hope he didn't suffer too much.
