Wow. You really have a camp follower there, don't you? (Blue Alaskan)

For years and years, when I was working, everything I wrote on internet forums was written imagining it printed out and sitting on the desk of of some higher-up who wanted to get me fired. Now that I'm retired I care less, but it's still my advice to young whippersnappers out and about.

Sorry you've got a small-minded troll nipping at your ankles.
    • "If these governors won't help, I will use my powers as president and get them out of the way." — Joe Biden, explaining fascism.
    • "Put aside all of these issues of concern about liberties and personal liberties and realize we have a common enemy and that common enemy is the virus." — Dr. Anthony Fauci, misidentifying the common enemy.
    • "Thieves only carry weapons for self-protection and to provide the householder an incentive to cooperate." — Texas State House Rep. Terry Meza, proposing to bar "castle defense" protection for victims of home invasions.
    • "The way I see it, there's always, c'mon, there's always money. It's there." — Elizabeth Warren, explaining socialism.
    • “The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all.... We really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.” — Saikat Chakrabarti, then AOC's Chief of Staff.
    • "We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them." — CNN's Don Lemon, showing how to stop demonizing people.

I get what you're saying, and I am generally fairly circumspect myself, but the truth is, if someone wants to make you look bad, selective quoting from the most innocuous posts can do it.

This person seems like a creeper with a pretty twisted agenda. When did people forget how to respectfully disagree? Frosty is more conservative on many issues than I am, but he's no "COVID denier" or anti-vaxxer. If the blogger opposes his appointment to the commission, let him or her do so honorably, stating truthfully what positions s/he finds objectionable, instead of purveying nasty innuendo and just purely making shit up.

"Objective reality is not just an illusion, it's a delusion. Chiefly found in those who think others are crazy." - Celeste (1953 - )

"If Beethoven were sent to nursery school today, they would medicate him, and he would be a postal clerk." - Leon Botstein

That's Not in their style book these days, I'm afraid.

So our minuscule board has been found by some anonymous he/she/ze/zir/zit piss licking blogger who seems absolutely appalled that someone may not completely buy into the same government, Pharma, and hysteria profiteers recommending that everyone become a germ catcher wearing chemically injected lab rat.

Obviously this person has never heard of the Tuskegee Experiment, Operation Sea-Spray, human radiation experiments, or the dozens of other U.S. government led medical procedures that would make Josef Mengele a saint by comparison.
This does not include such previous FDA approved medicines such as DES, thalidomide, Vioxx, Cylert, and Quaaludes among the hundreds that have proven harmful fatal to users and later taken off the market.

3 to 1 it has pronouns listed in a Twitter bio, a pic wearing a mask and owns cats.
    We are so fucked.

    "It" is sufficient.

BTW, I don't think the FDA in America approved thalidomide. Other countries did, particularly England, I think. For years and years that drug served as a warning against pushing the FDA to "rush" its approval process.

In a nearby thread just now I posted a blog entry by Andrew Sullivan. I think it applies to AK as well as it does to P-Town.

This Blue Alaskan person is cherrypicking data and making a false representation of the CDC report. It has NOT been released, and it uses unpublished information.

Remember when science was transparent? It's not now. I'm far from a conspiracy theorist and I got the vaccine as soon as I could, but this is troubling.

I hope the 15 people reading that person's blog don't get their medical advice from the author.

When thalidomide was prescribed in the 50's and 60's, FDA approval was not required. However in 1988 the FDA did approve it for limited use for leprosy treatment and the drug is still being produced and used today.

It is used as a cancer treatment when other chemo's have proven ineffective.
It was the last drug prescribed for my wife. The warnings on the package are epic.
