Since we lost the last thread in the crash, I thought I'd reprise it.

    You live in Maryland?

It is in east Fort Worth not too far from my house. It has a rather weird story attached to it involving a homeless person decorating it for Christmas and Texas authorities turning a blind eye (it is on public property). I think it is one of the more photographed places in Texas. I have taken pictures but they are not that good.

    Here is another:

    There's a children's book about it:

    One of those Americana things.

    Kebler Pass w/Fall snow:

More contrails as the temps dip:

    Twin Lakes:

    Dallas Divide:

Grand Mesa (where we love to fish):

Near Crested Butte (we were married there):

    Independence Pass:

From our guest house..colors waning..should have taken the photo a few days earlier:
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.
