    National Pecan Pie Day

is today. As I was walking through my hotel lobby. they were serving slices with vanilla ice cream and a small cup of a nice Porter. Hit the spot! Have you had a slice today?

I wish I liked it. My entire family adores it and I've made it many times but I just don't like it. I adore pecans.

No pie today ☹ but I did make a pan of pecan bars in May and they were delicious. I can only eat a small amount of either one because they're so sweet but at the same time they are so yummy.

Not really sure I want to have beer with pecan pie.
The growth of the Internet will slow drastically, as the flaw in “Metcalfe's law”–which states that the number of potential connections in a network is proportional to the square of the number of participants–becomes apparent: most people have nothing to say to each other! By 2005 or so, it will become clear that the Internet's impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine's.

    Ole Smokey Pecan Whiskey

    Let us know what happens.

See, now I can actually see whiskey with pecan pie. Probably without ice cream.

That having been said, I am not one to often drink whiskey, despite being from sippin' whiskey country. This would have to be something that I plan out, not a casual consumption.

I'm not much of a whiskey fan (I've had a few I liked) but I would pair this up and may do so next Thanksgiving. I find pecan pie to be way too sweet but a tiny sliver with this stuff over ice might make it more appealing.

I do feel a bit left out since I make all these amazing pies (pecan, pumpkin, cherry, etc.) that people seem to love but I just can't stand them.

Made a pecan pie for Thanksgiving once. Put a lot of bourbon in it. Mother thought she was going to get drunk.
